Advanced training includes: spiritually integrated psychotherapy, grief/loss counseling, EMDR, trauma and crisis counseling, adjustment to disability/chronic illness, life transitions, substance use counseling, intersectionality of disability/social/environmental justice, therapeutic gardening and ongoing cultural competency. I am a culturally sensitive and compassion-focused counselor bringing respect, empathy, natural warmth, kindness and a down to earth approach to my work here. I believe in counseling as a practice for self-care as well as a way to get to the heart of what’s going on and to support both short and long term goals, change-making, honoring dreams.
